MeetSchools is a curated school discovery platform for Indian families. We verify the reviews, publish the real total cost, and pair every search with an AI counsellor that actually understands Indian boards, neighbourhoods, and admissions calendars.

Why we exist

School discovery in India is broken in three places. Reviews are gameable and rarely from real parents. Fee tables are partial — the website lists tuition, the brochure hides transport, the admissions interview surprises you with caution deposit. And there is no neutral place to compare two shortlisted schools on the dimensions that actually matter to your family.

MeetSchools fixes the discovery layer. We do not run a school. We do not place advertisements over reviews. We just publish the data parents need, in the structure they need it in, before they walk into a campus tour.

What makes a MeetSchools listing different

  • Verified parent reviews

    Every published review is OTP-verified against a real Indian phone number, with the class and year-joined captured for context. We hide reviews from accounts a school can't pay for, and we publish ours. No paid placements, ever.

  • Transparent total cost

    We publish tuition, transport, books, uniform, and caution deposit on the same line — annual, rupee-accurate, and without the asterisks. The TCO calculator on every profile shows the real number you'll write a cheque for.

  • AI Counselor in plain language

    A free, India-aware assistant in English and Hindi. It asks what your family actually cares about — boards, neighbourhood, budget, commute — and shortlists from the same data parents see. Built on Claude.

  • Commute-aware discovery

    Every listing carries a real distance from your pin, not a marketing radius. Two extra km can mean 45 minutes in Delhi NCR traffic — we treat that as the headline number, not the footnote.

  • WhatsApp-native nurture

    Indian families talk on WhatsApp. We meet you there — admission deadlines, school replies, profile updates — without you logging in to chase.

How we curate

A small editorial team sets the rules and reviews edge cases. The same rules apply to every school, regardless of their listing tier.

    Parents are the customer

    Schools pay us for their listings, but parents read what we publish. If a question is awkward for a school to answer — fees, attrition, complaints — we still answer it.

    No paid placements

    Featured tiles and listing tiers exist; rigged search rankings do not. A premium subscription gets a school a richer profile, faster lead routing, and a verified badge — never a higher search position than its rating + reviews would earn it.

    Editorial independence

    Reviews are written by parents, moderated by a small in-house team, and never edited for tone on a school's request. Schools may flag factual errors; we adjudicate.

    Privacy by default

    We collect the minimum we need, store it in India, and let you export or delete everything in one click from your account. The DPDP Act, 2023 is the floor — not the ceiling.

Where we are today

We launched in Delhi NCR with the first 500 schools verified one-by-one — board affiliation cross-checked against CBSE / ICSE / IB / IGCSE registries, fees confirmed with the school, and a single editorial pass on every listing before it goes public.

Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and Chennai follow over the next twelve months. We add cities only when we can verify the long tail of schools, not just the famous ones.
