Terms of service
Terms of using MeetSchools
Last updated 1 May 2026 · Effective for all visitors to meetschools.com and the admin surface at admin.meetschools.com.
1. The agreement
By using MeetSchools you agree to these terms. The platform is operated from India by MeetSchools Technologies (the “Company”, “we”, “us”). If you don't agree with any part of these terms, please don't use the service.
These terms work alongside the privacy notice, the DPDP addendum, the editorial standards, and (for schools) the school pricing terms. Where there is a conflict, the document closest to the surface you're using wins (e.g. school pricing terms beat the general terms for billing questions).
2. Who can use MeetSchools
You must be at least 18 years old (the age of majority under Indian law) to create an account. The platform is built for Indian parents researching schools for their children, school administrators managing their listings, and our own editorial team — not for children directly.
You agree to provide accurate information when signing up, when submitting inquiries, and when posting reviews. Misrepresentation (a school staff member posting as a parent; a parent posing as a different parent; bulk-script accounts) is grounds for immediate termination and, where the conduct is unlawful, referral to authorities.
3. Your account
We use phone-OTP authentication for parent accounts. Each phone number maps to a single account; you may not register multiple parent accounts on the same number. Keep the phone in your control — anyone holding the SIM can sign in. If your number changes, email support@meetschools.com and we'll move the account.
School-admin and editor accounts use Google OAuth or email magic links. The same single-account-per-identity rule applies.
4. Reviews and inquiries
When you post a review, you agree that:
- The review reflects your genuine experience as a parent of a current or former student of that school.
- You hold no undisclosed financial relationship with the school (employee, vendor, promoter, etc.).
- The review does not contain defamation, slurs, threats, or personal details (full names of students or teachers, phone numbers, email addresses, home addresses).
- We may publish, display, syndicate, and aggregate the review's content with attribution to a verified parent identity but never your phone number.
- We may remove a review if it breaches the rules above or our editorial standards; we will notify you and give you a path to appeal.
Inquiries are routed to the school's admissions team along with the contact information you provide. The school may contact you back via SMS, WhatsApp, email or phone. You can opt out of school contact at /account at any time.
5. School listings
Listings are seeded by our editorial team from public registries (CBSE, ICSE, IB, IGCSE, state boards) and from school-submitted data. We verify board affiliation, address, and at least one independent contact channel before publishing. A listed school can claim its listing to manage its public profile and receive inquiries.
We reserve the right to add, edit, suspend, or remove a listing where:
- Board affiliation has been withdrawn or never granted.
- The school has formally requested removal and we have verified the request.
- The school has closed.
- The school engages in conduct that breaches these terms (review-suppression attempts, fake reviews, harassment of a reviewer).
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, harassing, threatening, or violates anyone's privacy.
- Scrape, mirror, or systematically copy our listings, reviews, fee data, or editorial articles without prior written consent. Cached previews by search engines are fine; bulk reproduction is not.
- Run automated scripts, bots, or load tests against the public surface or the API.
- Probe, penetration-test, or attempt to bypass authentication. Responsible vulnerability disclosure to security@meetschools.com is welcome.
- Impersonate another user, a school, or MeetSchools staff.
- Use the platform to send spam, malware, phishing, or commercial solicitations outside the school-inquiry flow.
7. Intellectual property
Editorial articles, the brand identity, the platform code, the AI counsellor's persona, and all aggregate datasets are the intellectual property of the Company. Listing content (school name, address, fee structure, board affiliation) is factual data and not copyrighted, but our compilation, editorial commentary, and the structured schema around it are.
Reviews remain the intellectual property of the parent who wrote them. By posting, you grant MeetSchools a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, display, syndicate, translate, and aggregate the review on the platform and in promotional materials, subject to the editorial standards. Withdrawing a review is your right and removes it from the platform; the licence above terminates on withdrawal.
8. Fees and refunds
Use of the parent surface (search, reviews, inquiries, the AI counsellor) is and will remain free. We don't collect payments from parents in Phase 1.
Schools pay subscription fees for verified or premium listings — the current pricing, inclusions, and refund policy are published at /for-schools/pricing. Razorpay is our payment processor; their terms apply to the payment flow itself.
9. Disclaimers
MeetSchools is an information and discovery platform. We are not affiliated with any school chain, board, regulator, or government body. We do not run admissions consultancies, sell test prep, or take referral fees on conversions.
Listings reflect data accurate to the date of last verification; fees, calendars, and facilities can change between our verification cycles. Always confirm any material detail (annual fee, admission criteria, transport cost) directly with the school before making an enrolment decision.
The AI counsellor is an assistive tool. It produces best-effort answers based on our data and on the parent's context, but it does not constitute professional advice, educational counselling, or a guarantee of admission outcomes.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, MeetSchools is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages — including loss of opportunity, missed admissions, or refused refunds by a school.
Our maximum aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of the platform shall not exceed the higher of (a) ₹10,000, or (b) the total fees you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. For parent users, who pay no fees, this means our maximum liability is ₹10,000.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold MeetSchools, its team, and its service providers harmless from any claim, loss, or expense arising from your breach of these terms or your unlawful use of the platform — including claims by schools you review, by parents you message, or by third parties whose intellectual property you upload.
12. Termination
You may close your account at any time via /account/delete. We retain a 30-day grace window during which you can restore the account by signing back in. After 30 days the account and its data are purged irreversibly, except for records we are required to keep for legal or tax compliance.
We may suspend or terminate your access for material breaches of these terms, with notice to your registered email or phone where lawful. We may suspend immediately and without notice for security, fraud, or court-ordered reasons.
13. Changes to these terms
We update these terms when our practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Material changes (anything that reduces a user right or expands a user obligation) get an in-product notice the next time you sign in, plus a 30-day window during which the previous terms still apply for your continued use.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from your use of the platform is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at New Delhi, India, without prejudice to any consumer-protection rights that mandatorily apply at your place of residence.
Before filing a court claim we ask that you reach out to our grievance officer at grievance@meetschools.com or via the /grievance page so we can attempt resolution within 30 days.
15. Contact

A short summary, not the contract: be honest, respect other parents and schools, ask the school to confirm fees before paying, and tell us if something looks wrong. We'll meet you halfway every time.
