Three things that do not work today

If you have spent any time looking up schools online in India, you have seen the same pattern: rankings without methodology, paid placements dressed as recommendations, and reviews that read like marketing copy. We have been those parents. MeetSchools is what we wished existed.

The three wedges

  1. OTP-verified reviews only. Every published review starts with a phone-number-verified Indian parent. Anonymous on the public site, accountable on the back-end. Anonymous-without-verification is what built the bot-review economy on legacy platforms.
  2. Transparent total cost of attendance. Tuition is the headline; the cheque you write in May is twice that. Every profile has a TCO calculator that breaks fees into the five lines (tuition, transport, books, uniform, caution deposit) and computes a year-1 number you can actually plan around.
  3. An AI counsellor that answers your real question. Not "top 10 schools." Specific things — "CBSE schools within 20 minutes of Vasant Kunj with a sibling-priority policy under 25 points." In Hindi or English.

What is in scope

Phase 1 is Delhi NCR — Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Faridabad, Ghaziabad — with about 500 verified profiles. Phase 2 expands to Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai. Each city ships only when we have completeness above an internal threshold; partial coverage is worse than no coverage.

What is not in scope

  • Paid placements. Search rank is determined by ratings + completeness + freshness — never by spend.
  • Selling parent data. We do not pass your phone, email, or address to schools without an explicit inquiry.
  • Becoming an admissions consultancy. We do not prep your child for interviews and we do not take referral fees from schools you enrol with.

How to help

Use the platform. If a school you know is missing, submit it via /for-schools/#add-listing. If you have a child currently enrolled somewhere, write a verified review — it takes four minutes and is the single highest-leverage thing you can do for the next family considering that school.

Welcome.
